Up to 40% of pregnant women develop significant vein changes — pregnancy is one of the strongest varicose-vein risk factors. During pregnancy, management is conservative: compression stockings, elevation and movement; procedures wait until after delivery. Most pregnancy veins regress within months post-partum; those that persist are evaluated with a duplex ultrasound and treated minimally invasively.
